Shantoosie Tootie is the new combo featuring Becky Cooper on cornet, trumpet and vocals, and myself on keyboards (possibly adding more instruments in time) and lead vocals. Why Shantoosie Tootie? Well, the first bit comes from the French "chanteuse" and is an American mispronunciation, used for a woman employed as a singer in a nightclub.  The "tootie" bit speaks (or trumpets) for itself.....As you can imagine, we love to inject a relaxed bit of humour into our performances.  Our tunes range from jazz, to a little folk, a little blues, songs for crooners, and we love to feature tunes from around the world (that are often surprisingly familiar to our audiences). We love playing in cafés and private parties, but would be equally comfortable at events such as gallery openings, receptions  and occasions of all kinds, and we relish the idea of in-home micro-concerts! Watch this space for more of our antics.

If you're in Ellesmere on 16 December 2023 between the hours of noon & 2pm do come and see us at Moolah, The Old NatWest Bank, Scotland Street. It's a free concert (but we always welcome little donations if you've enjoyed the music), the coffee/tea/food is fabulous, the shop is full of temptations and dogs are welcomed!
